I was born and raised in Warsaw. My early years of education mostly focused on Math and English, however, I hold sports very closely to my heart, e.g. volleyball, basketball, (table) tennis, skiing and swimming.

I navigated towards technical subjects during the high school years, firstly as a student in XIV LO im. Stanislawa Staszica in Warsaw, followed by the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology at Warsaw University of Technology. The last year of my Bachelor’s was pivotal to my future career;I participated in a student exchange program with the University of Waterloo in Canada, where I later pursued the degree of Master of Mathematics in Computer Science in 2009.

Over the 17 years of my career I had the opportunity to work in 4 companies, in Canada and Poland. First few positions were purely focused on software development, initially in C++ and then Java. In 2017 I moved into the Engineering Management role, which I have continued in Goldman Sachs’ Reference Data team since 2020.

It\’s a unique position placed between technology and business, focusing on applying good software principles and working with different technologies. At the same time, I am heavily involved with consumers of our data, supporting diverse functional requirements to enable new businesses as well retaining a strong focus on remaining compliant with regulatory obligations.
